This policy explains how Kstar Social ("we", "us") handles your personal data when you use kstarsocial.in. We follow the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and other Indian laws.

What we collect

Your name, email address and profile photo from Google sign-in, your token balance, caption jobs and purchase history, and basic technical data such as your browser type. Payment details (card, UPI, bank) are handled by Razorpay and never reach our servers.

Your videos

Your videos stay on your own device and are not uploaded to our servers. To create captions, only the audio track is sent for transcription. It is processed and not kept by us after the captions are returned.

Why we use your data

To create your account, generate captions, process payments, give referral bonuses, prevent abuse and answer support requests. We never sell your data and we do not use it for advertising.

Who processes data for us

Google (Gemini API) transcribes the audio. Supabase stores account and token data. Cloudflare hosts the website and our server. Razorpay processes payments. Each acts on our instructions and follows its own privacy and security policies. Some of these providers may process data outside India.

How long we keep it

Account and payment records are kept while your account is active and as long as tax and accounting laws require. Caption audio is not stored by us. Projects and videos saved in your browser stay there until you delete them.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your personal data, or withdraw your consent, by emailing kstarsocial@gmail.com. We reply within 30 days. Deleting your account removes your token balance.

Children

Kstar Social is meant for users aged 18 and above. If you are under 18, use the service only with the consent of a parent or guardian.

Browser storage

We use your browser's local storage to keep you signed in and to save your projects and settings on your device. We do not use advertising cookies.

These terms apply to your use of kstarsocial.in, run by Kstar Social. By using the service you agree to them.

Eligibility

You must be 18 or older, or use the service with the consent of a parent or guardian.

Your content

You own the videos you upload and the captions you create, and you may use them for personal or commercial work. You must have the right to use every video you upload. Do not upload illegal, hateful, sexual or abusive content, or content that infringes someone else's rights. You are responsible for what you upload and publish.

AI captions

Captions are created by AI and can contain mistakes in words or timing. Please review them before publishing.

Tokens

Tokens are bought in packs shown on the Pricing page. Creating captions for one video uses the number of tokens shown before you start. On the free plan, exporting a video uses 2 tokens, charged once per project. Paid packs include free exports. Tokens do not expire, cannot be exchanged for money and cannot be transferred to another account. If caption creation fails, the tokens are refunded to your balance automatically.

Payments

Payments are processed by Razorpay. Prices are shown in Indian Rupees. Refunds follow our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

Fair use

We may limit how many videos can be processed in a short time to keep the service stable, and we may suspend accounts that misuse the service or try to get free tokens unfairly.

Liability

The service is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the last 3 months.

Changes

We may update features, prices or these terms. Important changes will be shown on this site.

These terms are governed by the laws of India. For complaints, first contact our Grievance Officer on the Contact page.

Refund & Cancellation Policy

Digital product

Token packs are digital and are added to your account right after payment. There is nothing to ship and no subscription to cancel.

When you get a full refund

If money was taken from your account but tokens were not added, or you were charged twice for the same order, we refund the full amount. Email kstarsocial@gmail.com within 7 days with your registered email and the payment ID.

Failed caption creation

If captions cannot be created because of a problem on our side, the tokens used are returned to your balance automatically.

When refunds are not given

Tokens that have already been used are not refundable. Unused tokens from a successful purchase are also not refundable, except where the law requires it.

Refund timeline

Approved refunds are sent to the original payment method within 5 to 7 working days. Your bank may take a few more days to show it.

Grievance Officer
